Palatable Indian Dishes Relished Abroad- Yummmmm!!!
The savory of rich Indian food has been influenced by several cultures and dynasties, every time India found itself invaded by a foreign power, it took a little bit of their sweet and a little bit of their salt to make it its own. And that is the secret of the global popularity of our diversified dishes and delicacies. Check below dishes from the Indian sub-continent that has garnered immense popularity in the far west.
1. Samosa
All everyday snack stuffed with potatoes, peas, groundnuts, and cauliflower is a hit across the country. But with sime variations, the crusty triangle have gained a lot of fame in countries half a worl away. We are not least surpriced, for we know, when served with bowl of tamarind of mint chutney, the samosa is capable of doing magic.
2. Naan
The good ole buttery and expensize cousin of chapatti, Naal is not olny known but has earned quite a good name for itself in other cultures, and that too, literally. For throughout UK and US, our Naan famous as Naan Bread.
3. Aloo Gobhi
A simple veg recipe that us a must for everyPunjabi girl to perfect so she could find a man - or so they say. But not really? Because you can order it anywhere and everywhere. Even if your newly found love takes you to a palace offshore, there is always that one restaurant to home deliver Aloo Gobhi - yes, in US, Canada and Europe too.
4. Chana Masala
I was really surpriced to see how people in the far west enjoyed this dish, because (not that I am racist but) I've always believed that they can just not handle with our hot spices. Turn out they can deal with a li'l pepper, if so, for the hotand spicy Chana Masala.
5. Tikka Masala
The creamy preparation of chicken is the next one on our list - the first to follow a number of other chicken dishe. These roasted chicken pieces floating on thick orange sauce has in fact impressed those in far off lands, more than we could surmise.
6. Butter Chicken
Who doesn't like butter and yogurt and cream (the diet chart can go to hell, if so it pleases), and who doesn't like chicken (only if you are a vegan, else I don't believe you). So it wasn't a shocker when I learnt that this North Indian spicemen of 'Kadai full of creamy heaven' was cnsumed more by the non-Indians in the US, then us brown people.
7. Korma
All the South Asiancountries are at a war with each other to claim the origin of Korma, but come 'on people, can we just get real for a second here? It's ours - India's very own mouth watering dish that has those foreigners lick their finders Og!! what would I not give to have a bowl full of that sinful delight every single day of my life!!
8. Biryani
The aromatic slender grains of rice, the amber of saffron, or the truck load of spices that go into tha making of that perfect pot of Biryani, I am not too sure what pulls them toward this rich Indian dish. But to see people who don't share our race of culture, rejoice a hot plate of our food is a delight.
9. Barfi
Weather its the Kaju Katli or any tempting variation of Barfi, the delicacy has gained huge followership in continents beyond Asia, and because we have grown up hogging on these, we can totally infer why. Through it was a li'l tough for the English speaking population to accept it for its name, because... well, let's not get there now.
